IrfanView is not available for Linux but there are plenty of alternatives that runs on Linux with similar functionality. The best open source Linux alternative is nomacs. This was pretty good for awhile. But now brings up an extra window every time it is opened to tell you to BUY off the Microsoft Store for updates. On top of that, is taking up to 15 seconds to open a 60kb jpeg. Uninstalled.

IrfanView is not a simple viewer. Take all of what qView does away from IrfanView and you still have a complete program. qView appears to be a good program just not an alternative to IrfanView.

nomacs is so far the best contender to irfanview. You can go through images and delete or keep. Scale and cut. Having some trouble with paste, but I hope that is a setting. Or an yet undiscovered feature.
