Straightforward program with the features I've been looking for to check HDDs, like quick benchmark tests, sector scan and SMART table. However one thing bothers me about it, it freezes up a lot on in certain places, eg. changing the window scale and some processes that involve it opening a secondary window as well as involving a lot of collected data. I still recommend it but the performance of the program itself can be improved and look forward to future updates for improved reliability.
It is NOT discontinued. This information is wrong. You can see on archive.org that 4.0 was released in 2017.
It can change - via command line! - whether (or not) one of those loud disks will automatically spin down and become perfectly silent, whenever it's been idle and after how many seconds of idle time it will do so. It can also simply spin it down right now, via command line. However figuring out the command line is painful, because the UI is like a jump and run adventure.
