Comments about OpenStreetMap as an Alternative to Google Maps
A great technology, but not comparable in terms of features
Open data, can be easily fixed and enhanced by myself or others, great detail (not car-only stuff like in GoogleMaps) , no commercial spam / privacy-rejecting tracking, much more up to date in many places...
Almost everyone thinks OpenStreetMap is a great Google Maps alternative.

OpenStreetMap is definitely a better alternative than Google Maps. OSM doesn't track you or appropriate your data, it's community-built and open source. I use OSM every day to get where I need to go, and if there's a problem with the map, I can fix it myself!
