Comments about Organic Maps as an Alternative to Google Maps
No longer fully FOSS! Also many if not most active contributers left due to transparency issues!
Fully FOSS (free/open source software), Privacy focused, works offline (i.e. everywhere and low battery usage), smooth navigation, extremely easy to use, can even edit/add POIs to the map, directed by community and not corporate interests/profits. And OpenStreetMap data it uses is open and anyone can contribute.
Almost everyone thinks Organic Maps is a great Google Maps alternative.
Organic Maps is the most popular Linux alternative to Google Maps.

As fluent, responsive and convenient as MAPS.ME, but without the blatant privacy breaches of MAPS.ME.
