GnomePanel Alternatives
GnomePanel is described as 'highly configurable launcher and taskbar for GNOME. It forms a core part of the default GNOME desktop' and is a Application Launcher in the OS & Utilities category. There are more than 10 alternatives to GnomePanel for a variety of platforms, including Windows, Linux, BSD, Mac and Linux Mobile. The best alternative is Docky, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like GnomePanel are Cairo-Dock (Free, Open Source), ObjectDock (Paid), MaxLauncher (Free, Open Source) and tint2 (Free, Open Source).
