Installing Kirby means uploading some files to your server and that's it. Blog articles, galleries, simple pages or complex product sheets – with Kirby you are not limited to a fixed data structure. Kirby is file-based – No database involved.

Kirby is the most popular commercial alternative to GetSimple CMS.
Bludit is a web application to build your own website or blog in seconds, it's completely free and open source. A PRO version is available for those who want to support the software developer. The software seems almost the same between the versions.

Apostrophe is a powerful website builder platform built on an enterprise open source CMS, offering in-context live editing, visual design tools, and multisite enablement in a full stack JS environment.

Many content management systems are focused on developer or site owner needs, but Concrete CMS truly delivers the best to both worlds. An in-context editing toolbar makes it easy to make changes as you navigate the live website.
Oh my goodness, I used to love Concrete CMS in the past, when it was still named Concrete5, but I ran into several problems, which weren’t easy to solve. It is an extremely fat sytem , which may be easy to use, but installation and maintanance are not really a piece of cake. Absolutely not comparable to an easy, slim and databaseless CMS like GetSimple.

Chyrp Lite makes it possible to host a blog on your own web server with minimal fuss. You can have a traditional blog, a tumbleblog, or you can add oodles of customisation and build a web publishing platform with blogging features on the side.

In deed a good alternative. GetSimple CMS and Chyrp Lite are both easy to use and slim. However, Chyrp Lite requires a database connection. Anyway, I can really say that I have never had any problems with Chypr Lite.

OverBlog is a blogging platform, active and evolving. Create a blog, without any technical knowledge, and find everything you post ! Create your blog has never been easier.

Portal CMS is a free and open source content management system with a powerful integrated page builder built in .NET MVC.
ImpressPages is a PHP framework with admin panel. A new MVC engine is under the hood so you can customize ImpressPages in no time. Write your own plugins and themes to suit your and customers’ needs best.

SilverStripe is a free and open source Content Management System and Framework for creating, maintaining websites and web applications.

I ran into several problems using SilverStripe in the past. Not a good choice if you prefer an easy to use and databaseless CMS like GetSimple CMS.
Much more difficult to get it running. needs data base and is not so easy to handle.

Bludit might be a bit more flexilble than GetSimple CMS, but both of them don’t need a database and are easy to install and use. Ultimately, it's a matter of taste which system you prefer.
