What is Gentoo?
Gentoo Linux is a versatile, fast, highly configurable and completely free Linux and FreeBSD distribution geared towards developers and network professionals.
Gentoo is a rolling release distro (continuously developing, doesn't have versions) where mostly all parts of the system are being compiled from source.

Simply the best and most secure. No need to trust a second party for binary code

I can tailor my system to my needs, USE flags allow me to opt-in or out of certain application features, Portage itself is also a great package manager, and it's easy to make your own custom repository.
Gentoo is good with updates!
Because it can be configured for me only.
it is like a rolling plan, it update's instead of new installation
I can tune it deeper and make it elegant, fast. Usually after installing Xubuntu I removed games, office, Pidgin, etc, but Gentoo is bare bones with good package management and community. Like you can compile JS library and get only what you want - with Gentoo you compile all your software (it easy and compiles automatically on install).
