    OBS is first and for most a Live Streaming Software. While it is far more flexible it does not come with the ease of use a dedicated screen recorder does.

    While the primary function of OBS is broadcasting, it can be used (albeit with a little difficulty) as a screen recorder.

    Very low impact on CPU and RAM It occupies very few MB for the creation of video (with standard settings - 2 min. lenght = 10 MB approximately) Easy to use and configure
