Krita VS FireAlpaca
Is Krita a good alternative to FireAlpaca?Comments about Krita as an Alternative to FireAlpaca
lian00Krita is much more powerful than FireAlpaca for drawing and painting. There is no real comparison possible. FireAlpaca is a light/simple drawing software with poor brush engine and Krita is a complete drawing and painting solution (and manages animation too).
0llllFireAlpaca launches almost instantly, Krita takes about 10 seconds on my system. I make line art in other app and use these both mostly for fast simple coloring, so it makes sense to use the faster FireAlpaca. I also happen to like FireAlpaca downloadable watercolor brushes. There's any brush for any app today, but there's no choice paralysis with the less popular app. Overall Krita is more sophisticated and customisable for those who need that.
0It's very good for drawing!! You can do that cool selection coloring thing!

Comments about GIMP as an Alternative to FireAlpaca
GIMP is for photo editing mainly. I dont try to draw with it.
Not fun for drawing. Editing maybe, but not art.
GIMP is way more oriented to image editing photoshop-style than to digital art.
