FilePlease

FilePlease is a browser-based file transfer tool for sharing photos, videos, documents, and other files between devices. It works across Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iPhone without installing an app or creating an account.

Connecting devices is as simple as scanning a QR code, making FilePlease especially handy for moving files between your phone and computer. Start a session on one device, scan the code with the other, then select your files and send them. You can also connect by opening a session link.

FilePlease uses WebRTC for end-to-end encrypted transfers. Files move directly between devices where possible, with an encrypted relay available when network restrictions prevent a direct connection. Files are not stored on FilePlease’s servers or kept for later download, so both devices need to remain online during the transfer.

Core file transfers are free. There is no fixed cloud-storage file size cap; practical limits depend on the devices, browsers, and network conditions.
