What is Ember P2P?

Ember P2P is a free, open-source file sharing client operating on eMule KAD and eD2K networks. It's written in Rust with a Tauri desktop shell and works in conjunction with eMule, aMule, and other related clients on the same network and credit system. Ember also operates the Ember Network, a serverless, encrypted overlay where nodes identify each other and locate download sources via a Distributed Hash Table (DHT), eliminating the need for a tracker or directory server.

Key features of Ember P2P include compatibility with eD2K and KAD networks, the ability to import an existing eMule setup, and the Ember Network, a Noise-encrypted DHT. Other features include encrypted chat and file sending, group chat and file offer rooms, download categories with individual folders, a search spam filter, and a self-updating IP filter. The software supports signed in-app updates and is available in nine languages. It's ad-free, spyware-free, without bundled offers, and is licensed under GPLv3.
