Visio doesn't run on Mac OS. This is a great alternative that is powerful and has a lot of well-designed starter templates.
I was looking for an easy-to-use alternative to Microsoft Visio for Mac, and a friend of mine recommended Edraw diagram software for Mac. It is a very user-friendly software, and I have been using it since then. It looks nice for presentations with non-technical upper management. Importantly, it can import the vsdx file then save too.
In my opinion Edraw is a good software in comparative of Visio from MS. For me is a multiple software in one, you can do cards, mapminds, diagrams etc. The design is so good cause you can select different things and export to other alternatives, for example PDF, PNG, etc.
Its an amazing app i used it several time in designing a floor plan and other built in features. I absolutely love this app. I highly recommend it.
EDraw Max is a fantastic alternative to Visio. The cost is significantly less and they have a huge library of shapes and templates available. The best part is that it runs natively on macOS.
I am a Mac user. I used it for both mind map and flowcharts.
Awful German translation, excel import just in organisational mode. Excel import for Network Diagramms would be nice with ability to store data within the Diagramm
