There are some softwares that have a complex interface, they are suppose to be feature rich but they are just hard to use. For Easy Duplicate Finder I just need to drag-and-drop a folder to the scan box then start scan, that's all.
I've been using this application for a while and it always does its job really well. The free version scans for duplicates and allows you to delete 10 automatically. To delete the rest via the program, a license is needed. But even so, the scan is very accurate and you can easily delete duplicates manually because the app shows you where they are.
Just trying this out, they turned me off using this almost immediately. I realize they want to make some extra $$$, but the amount of "bonus" software pushed on you while installing is ridiculous, not to mention the ads all over the place and constantly letting you know the ratings it got from software review sites. Thanks to the wonderful Unchecky, as usual I didn't have to worry too much - so make sure you're careful when installing, or you will end up changing your web home page, and adding an extra bar and some other junk they deem helpful.
And for being so annoying and letting me know how wonderful it apparently is by constantly showing their amazing reviews like a neon sign blinding me while I try this new piece of software - I gave up. I didn't even try it. I immediately uninstalled it and won't be giving this company any of my money. Trial/free with the constant annoyances - not worth it. I hope software companies learn to not be so sneaky and annoying with "recommended" software and the ads - why would I trust them with my money and removing duplicates of my invaluable files if right away I feel like they are deceptive. No thanks!
I have just begun trying DigitalVolcano's Duplicate Cleaner:

and it is already much more impressive. No begging and no annoyances. Simple to setup. A nice clean interface, with some really nice features for making sure you don't permanently delete files accidentally (moving them to another location, etc.).
It has an Image preview at least Seems decent, if you are willing to pay
