It allows you to remove old and useless drivers that are occupying space in your computer.

Software did not work to restore my barcode scanner usb driver which worked on my old computer. The new computer did not and would not install the driver on its own. I tried other backup tools and this one which did not efficiently and quickly work fast or well for me. The tools that did not work are; Snappy Driver Installer, Unknown Device Identifier, Driver Store Explorer. The one that did work is "DriverBackup!" which Free and opensource.

Basically, I was searching for a way to roll back Intel HD 4000 driver for an earlier version, as the latest one worked like shit in Valorant, and here comes this app! Not only does it give you an option to delete any unneeded driver, but you can also just stick inside whatever you like, force quite current and taaa daaa- you have what you need!

It works exactly as advertised. Not the driver updater that I was looking for when I stumbled upon it, but it never claimed to be. For what it does, it does it well. Lightweight. Fast. Portable application. I love finding new software and trying it for myself; with 97% of them, I see no personal use for or a better option. This application is in the 3% in my tool bag. Being something I will run infrequently makes it being portable ideal for me. I can throw it on a USB to keep dead weight off my SSD.

I am looking for a driver updater and this application does not work for me, but for what it does work, it is in the management of drivers, the most interesting thing that I saw at first glance is that you can uninstall old drivers with two visible buttons and delete a lot of crap that has already been updated, it has the option to install drivers locally so it still works if you have a folder with your drivers everywhere haha, it has support for several languages, including churches, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese and several more.

It's hard to give this app a particularly good review. If you manually go through the driver list and attempt to remove drivers that are obviously not in use, it fails to remove almost all of them.

I was tinkering with an old LG phone a few months ago, but I've since removed all related devices and applications from my system. Driver Store Explorer can't delete any of the LG drivers even though they can't possibly be in use.

There's a BlackBerry driver. This laptop hasn't touched a BlackBerry for years and there are certainly no ghost devices lying around (I've made sure of that). Driver Store Explorer can't remove this driver either.

There's a driver for the game streaming software "Rainway". I uninstalled that months ago. Driver Store Explorer can't remove it.

The same goes for a bunch of printer drivers and Logitech drivers squatting on my system.

It's still useful and will remove what apparently amounts to low-hanging fruit, but don't expect to be able to give your driver store a thorough clean. It seems that the app can't do that, and I have no idea why!
