I’ve been putting Dataflare through its paces, and it’s impressively responsive, even with a ~2 GB MSSQL database! ⚡ Despite being relatively new (first released in January 2024), it’s already outshining Table Plus in terms of speed and responsiveness. Dataflare is a one-time purchase for $39 USD per seat, which feels like a steal for the performance boost it delivers. 💸
As a long-time Table Plus user, I didn’t expect to find a new tool that would compel me to switch. But Dataflare’s speed improvement is noticeable across the board — data queries, fetches, and updates are almost instantaneous. The difference was so stark that I actually went ahead and uninstalled Table Plus to commit fully to Dataflare. 🚀
It’s true that Dataflare is still missing a few features here and there, but the development team has set up an active GitHub issue tracker, allowing users to request new features and report any bugs directly.
The team seems responsive and genuinely engaged in making this tool even better with each update, so I’m optimistic that they’ll continue to add functionality over time.
Overall, if you’re after a highly responsive SQL client and don’t mind a few missing features that could be on the way, Dataflare is absolutely worth a try. For a one-time price, the performance alone is impressive. I would buy it right now if it wasn’t for my $90 Table Plus licence… 🥲 but it’s hard to resist Dataflare’s speed and responsiveness! Will stick to the free version for now and see what features are locked behind the paywall.
