Picocrypt is more suited to encrypting individual files for local storage, not for encrypting groups of files for cloud storage like Cryptomator. Both are excellent applications, with different use cases.

If you intend to use Cryptomator for encrypting just a few files locally, Picocrypt may be superior.

Encrypto lets you encrypt files before sending them to friends or coworkers. Just drop a file into Encrypto, set a password, and then send it however you normally would — but this time with added security. It’s free for both Mac and Windows.

Basically Windows version of Gocryptfs, which is one of the best alternative for EncFS. Cppcryptfs is in early stage of development (as of 2021) though.
