BuhoSleep is a utility software designed to manage the power settings of your PC directly from the system tray. It operates by utilizing the Windows API, negating the need for mouse jiggling or any unconventional methods. The software offers various modes such as 'Keep Screen On' which prevents both display and system sleep without altering your power plan, 'Keep PC Awake' which prevents system sleep while allowing the display to turn off, 'Power Saver/High Performance' which alters the Windows power plan system-wide and reverts back to your original plan upon exit, and 'Auto' which adjusts the power plan automatically based on the AC/battery status.

The software offers a variety of key features. A 'Session Timer' allows you to set a duration after which the mode turns off automatically. 'Smart Triggers' enable mode activation based on running processes, battery level, schedule, or power adapter, however, this feature is only available in the Pro version. The Pro version also includes 'Drive Alive', a feature that prevents external USB drives from spinning down. Other features include global hotkeys for instant mode switching, session statistics and CSV export (Pro only), and crash recovery which restores your power plan even after an unexpected shutdown. The software starts with Windows and uses under 15 MB. The free tier covers all core modes, while the Pro version, priced at a one-time fee of €4.99, unlocks triggers, stats, and the Drive Alive feature.
