Hold My Lid

Close the lid. Keep coding. Hold My Lid keeps your Mac awake while Claude Code, Codex, and your other agents finish the job — lid shut, in your bag.

A keep-awake app that actually understands your agents.

• Agent-driven wake lock: Holds the wake assertions only while a watched agent is working. Idle agents let the Mac sleep.
• Accurate state via hooks: Lifecycle hooks report Working / Idle per session for Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode.
• Battery guardrails: Configurable cut-off threshold, “only when plugged in” mode, and Low Power Mode respect.
• Display control: Turn the display off on lid close, while agents run, or N seconds after they finish.
• Notifications & chimes: Banner + one of 10 bundled sounds when it engages, finishes, or hits your battery limit.
• Menu-bar dropdown: Live status, battery, watched-agent sessions, and pause-for-30m / 1h, one click away.
• Global shortcut: Toggle the whole thing on or off from anywhere.
• Honest about limits: Same documented assertions as Amphetamine. We tell you exactly when it can’t guarantee staying awake.
