What is OPBS?

A FOSS disk imaging backup solution for Windows, inspired by Macrium Reflect. created by RHITCS.

Features Disk & partition imaging with per-block CRC-32 integrity checking VSS support: back up live systems using Windows Volume Shadow Copy Service Compression: Zstandard (zstd) with multithreaded worker-thread compression.

Incremental backups.

Resumable imaging: resume (CLI --resume) continues an interrupted local backup from the partial image already at the target path.

Disk-to-disk clone: clone copies selected live partitions straight onto a different local disk (VSS snapshots, optional dissimilar layout + fresh GPT/MBR table, optional grow-on-restore), with no image file or cloud upload.

Restore into a virtual disk (VHD/VHDX): targetVirtualDisk writes a restore into a .vhd/.vhdx file instead of a physical disk

Disk Tools screen (sidebar 🔧) groups four maintenance utilities — MBR & Boot

Verification: self-check images after write and before restore Retention / GFS pruning.
