DNS66 filters ads using DNS proxy without root permission, just like Blokada. It is still open source while Blokada 6 is not.

Blocking trackers will break things. This app makes it super easy to minimize whitelisting only what is needed, not entire apps. The traffic log super easy to read, catch those sneaky ones not even open but pinging home in background, stuff not listed in some large companies TOS.

Although it features options that might help block ads coming from specific apps, it is not an ad-blocker at core and requires a lot, lot more tinkering to work as such.
