Billr is a time tracker and billing app for freelancers and small teams who bill for their time. You track hours with a timer, turn those hours into a quote or an invoice without retyping them, and let your client pay online.
Tracked time becomes invoice lines at the client's hourly rate, which a project can override. Quotes are sent as a link that the client opens with a 6-digit access code and signs on their own phone, and a signed quote converts to an invoice in one tap. Invoices and quotes carry your own business details, logo and colour, in one of 4 templates. Clients pay by card through your own Stripe account or by PayPal, and Billr adds no fee of its own. On a paid plan, Billr can also email your client a payment reminder around the due date. Projects, tasks, clients and a Report screen with a revenue report and a work report complete the app.
Billr runs on iPhone, Android and the web. Almost everything works without a connection, including tracking time, adding clients and creating invoices and quotes. Changes are kept on the device and sync when you are back online. One Billr account is active on one device at a time, and your data follows you when you sign in somewhere else. The app is available in 10 languages and supports 60 currencies.
Billr is made by Bliqo OÜ, a company registered in Estonia, in the EU. The cloud database that keeps your devices in sync runs in the EU, in Frankfurt. Deleting your Billr account removes your data.
What Billr does not do: there is no accounting or bookkeeping, no bank connection, no integration with QuickBooks, Xero or Zapier, and no public API. There is no file import, so clients are added by hand. There are no recurring invoices, no expense tracking and no client portal. One tax rate and one currency apply per team.
The free plan has no time limit and needs no card: 1 project, and 3 invoices and 3 quotes a month, with clients and time tracking not capped. The paid plans are Starter and Pro for one person, and Crew, Team and Business for teams of 5, 15 and 50, which add roles, shared clients and projects, and an audit log. Plans are sold monthly or yearly, and most of them also as a one-time lifetime purchase.
