I've been using this software since 2020.. however, 6+ years later this software has taken a big dive. This company got bought out by Intuit. which is a big corp and now all the services that used to be free have been removed or avaiable only as paid services.
I'm a small business owner.. I used this software only to keep track of my bank account. I can no longer automatically download bank transactions to the software, unless I pay $190/year.
Everything has turned into a subscription these...

Very complete, professional and robust system for small business! Allows you to add users with different roles (total, partial, or little visibility of your system). Enables you to send estimates, invoices, and do payroll.

Everything has turned into a subscription these days. There is no way to buy a software anymore and then use it for a few years before having to upgrade.
An online transaction gone bad led to their Visa card needing replacement. Their replacement process, however, is quite difficult. My BofA card replacement took one day. As a result, I just don't use Waves much anymore.
Great freemium service! Best free alternative to Quickbooks invoicing I've found to date
Very good solution for any SME. Lacks UK Chart of Accounts so you'll have to adapt it yourself and Bank link was discontinued which is a real bummer so you have to upload manually. There's no integration with HMRC or anything but the amount of features you get with this for free is second to none. They have vastly improved speed too. Payment Processing system is very reasonable.
It would be nice if they made some small adaptions like terminology for UK market.
Handles almost every accounting stuff applicable to small businesses. And it's free. Would love a mobile app though!
