What is Bees?

Bees is a free, open source desktop app for running a team of AI agents on your own computer. You describe a piece of work, and Bees plans it, splits it into steps and hands each step to an agent. Agents can read and write files, use your browser and call tools through MCP servers.

The work runs on your machine, so files, browser sessions and passwords stay local. You can use Claude Code, Codex, hosted models or a local model.

Teams can share agents and process templates and see each other's progress, while every run still happens on the person's own computer. A private local edition works offline with no account.

Available for macOS, Windows and Linux. Licensed under MIT or Apache 2.0.
