Fast and convenient without too many frills. Loads quickly.
The best note taking app for desktop !
It has a "modern UI". Looks simplistic. Does not have a tree. Supports images. Imports videos with links. Has easy formatting as code or quotations. Can be useful for someone studying whatever needs many images, much code, quotations.
It works, it is open source and it runs in both windows and linux
Beaver Notes has a very easy to get to grips with interface, where you don't necessarily need to know Markdown to make effective use of it. But the rendering while you type Markdown is brilliant.
Bonus points goes towards it having a nice organised way to view your notes, tagging them and linking them. My favourite feature so far is the Mermaid integration. Amazing.
Also, for an Electron app, it's performance is very good.
For a FOSS app, this is a highly recommended notes app that works with Markdown.
Though I do have a wish list to take this to the next level
