What is Archi Archive Manager?

Archi is a free and open-source archive manager for macOS. It lets users browse archive contents before extraction, search and sort entries, open individual files, test archives, and safely extract selected items or entire archives. Archi creates ZIP, 7z, TAR.GZ, TAR.XZ, TAR.ZST, GZIP, XZ and Zstandard archives, supports encrypted ZIP and 7z creation, and reads RAR/RAR5 and many other formats supported by the bundled 7-Zip engine. ZIP and 7z archives can be updated by adding, deleting or renaming entries. Finder Services provide extraction, testing and compression actions. Archive operations run locally with no accounts, analytics, advertising or uploads. Releases are universal for Apple Silicon and Intel, signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple.
