rofi just launches stuff, alfed does a lot more then that- sure you can configure rofi to do a lot too - but that's custom and not built-in, also rofi works on some wms and doesnt on others- sure, you cant compare macos to linux inconsistant xorg/wayland overlays but whats isnt whats this site is about actually? as close as possible - and rofi aint anywhere close
