Comment summary: Kdenlive is praised as a cost-effective and user-friendly alternative to Adobe Premiere Pro, appreciated for its open-source nature and features suitable for small creators. However, users note its instability on Windows and macOS and missing features compared to Premiere Pro. While its community support and ease of use are highlighted, it faces criticism for being buggy and laggy, with some recommending DaVinci Resolve as a superior option.Top Positive CommentTop Negative CommentIt is not fully feature-packed and is buggy and laggy. Davinci Resolve is a much superior option
Most Recent CommentRichie ScassellatiThis is the best free alternative to Premiere Pro I've used for a few years. It has the basic features that Premiere Pro has, and that's good enough for my video editing needs. My only complaint is that images and videos are imported to fit a timeline's dimensions, which can be tedious to work around. Other than that, this is a really good video editor.

Comments about DaVinci Resolve as an Alternative to Adobe Premiere Pro
Comment summary: DaVinci Resolve is highly regarded for being a free, cross-platform video editing software with strong color correction, audio integration, and node-based composition capabilities. While it offers an intuitive interface and covers necessary formats for beginners, some users highlight limitations in the free version's codecs and output options. It is seen as a viable alternative to Adobe Premiere Pro, though performance issues can arise on low-end machines. The software's complex export process has also been noted as a drawback compared to Premiere Pro's simplicity.Top Positive CommentDavidGoes steps further than Premiere by combining editing, node-based compositing with particle FX and audio mix/mastering. It's cross-platform and free for up to 4k video.
Top Negative CommentdabocksterCan be really buggy at times.
Most Recent CommentShaz ShahDaVinci Resolve is a worthy contender to Adobe Premiere. Fine, while free, it's not open source but the interface is slick and easy to use. The free version does have limited support for codecs and outputs, but it does cover the main formats for dabblers like me.
Thought once departure from the keyframing behaviour effects, it does use node-based composition. Still. For editing, composition, colour correction and posting to social media sites, this is the one.
