Comments about Kdenlive as an Alternative to Adobe Premiere Pro
It is not fully feature-packed and is buggy and laggy. Davinci Resolve is a much superior option
This is the best free alternative to Premiere Pro I've used for a few years. It has the basic features that Premiere Pro has, and that's good enough for my video editing needs. My only complaint is that images and videos are imported to fit a timeline's dimensions, which can be tedious to work around. Other than that, this is a really good video editor.
Almost everyone thinks Kdenlive is a great Adobe Premiere Pro alternative.

The only nonlinear video editor I've found with automatic shot/scene detection for splitting larger clips.
