What is ACTVT?

ACTVT is a native macOS menu bar app that shows live CPU, GPU, memory and network usage, with history that survives a restart. It sits in the menu bar with animated status icons and a port manager that shows which process is holding a port and can reclaim it, with keyboard shortcuts throughout.

It also tracks the AI coding agents running on the machine. Every Claude Code, Codex and Claude Desktop session is indexed locally and searchable in full, with cost and token numbers, cache hit ratios, spend by project, and plan usage bars showing how much quota is left before it resets. Notifications fire when a session is waiting on input, finishes, errors, runs long or crosses a cost ceiling, and clicking one raises the terminal window that session lives in.

Remote Sessions reaches other Macs and headless Linux boxes over SSH, discovering Tailscale peers automatically, and folds them into the same timeline. An embedded MCP server exposes 25 tools so agents can query the machine they are running on. It binds to loopback behind a token and nothing leaves the Mac. Sensitive data detection scans transcripts for emails, credentials and payment cards entirely on device, masked by default.

The interface is available in English, French and German. Requires macOS 15.5 or later and Apple Silicon. Free tier, Basic 9.99 USD one time, Premium 7.99 USD per month billed annually, with a 7 day trial that unlocks everything.
