What is Task Manager for macOS?
Task Manager for macOS brings the Windows 11 Task Manager layout to the Mac. One window tells you what is running, what is using your CPU, where your memory went and what the GPU is doing — and lets you end whatever is hanging.
Performance pages with live 60-second graphs for CPU (including a per-logical-processor grid that distinguishes performance cores from efficiency cores), memory (with a composition bar for app / wired / compressed / cached), GPU (Renderer and Tiler engines separately, plus VRAM — Activity Monitor has no GPU page), disk and network.
A Processes page split into apps and background processes, a Details page with 16 columns, and a Network Ports page listing every listening TCP port and the process holding it, with one-click open in your browser for local services. Plus Startup apps, Services, Users and per-app history.
Free and open source under the MIT licence. It reads everything through public system APIs — no background helper, no privileged component and no permission prompts, so it never asks for your password. Available in English and Simplified Chinese.
Requires macOS 14 or later. Apple Silicon and Intel.
