Comments and Reviews
There's is and have never been any equal to this application for Windows, when it comes to window management. You can customize almost every aspect, and get YOUR software to do what YOU want it to. Programs sometimes struggle with this, trying to enforce their own wills, but AWM usually gets the last word.
But... It's other features are lacking, the sheer amount of injects and hooks slows down performance of your pc, despite have their respective options disabled. I don't want or need anything from this but the window management, and would really wish that the installation offered the ability to control what features you want, since it's now bordering on bloatware. This is the AIO of Actual's various applications, some features in this are available as single apps but not the window management.
UI hasn't gotten an overhaul since it's release, tho it's not bad, it's not intuitive or pretty either, and it's getting crowded.
Plenty of useful features, it adds handy titlebar buttons too... but in my opinion has a huge problem: single user license is expensive and free updates are only for 1 year, not lifetime.
Very impressed with the Tabbed Explorer feature that is becoming my new replacement of Clover - and I've used Clover for years! I also like the sleek design and the unobtrusive, intuitive integration of all the productive tools in the native Windows 10 environment. The one-click access to recent folders and favorites within the native Windows 10 file explorer windows is a major productivity boost for someone who needs to deal with a large amount of files in a short window of time. 5-star experience of this app so far.
Comprehensive tools. From snapping to virtual desktops.
It's quite bloaty and can slowdown my machines at random times. :(
Windows needs something to enhance its experience, so there're many related softwares around. Actual Window Manager is the ultimate tool IMO, both the number of the features and the quality are good. It's a decent plan to buy this instead of using a bunch of other softwares even they are free. For window managing
DM2 is also very powerful but it lacks updates but this do. I also like finding path through the caption button, it looks more intergrate than
Listary's menu, but cannot handle all the windows yet like flash open file window from a browser (what Listary can do).
