What is A Better File Attributes?
A Better Finder Attributes is a native macOS utility for batch-correcting file-system timestamps and embedded photo and video metadata. It can set, shift, copy and synchronize file creation and modification dates; correct JPEG, RAW and video shooting dates; extract dates from filenames or enclosing folders; and edit or strip EXIF, IPTC and GPS metadata.
Typical uses include repairing camera-clock and time-zone mistakes, restoring the chronology of scanned photo collections, fixing sort order in Finder and photo applications, copying timestamps from originals to processed files, and removing location or camera information before files are shared.
A Better Finder Attributes provides drag-and-drop batch processing, previews of file content and metadata, Finder contextual-menu integration, reusable droplet applications, sequential date increments, Mac file flags and labels, and tools for showing or deleting invisible files. Current releases run natively on both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs.
