Very fast & responsive. Well made. Easy to use. The interface looks good. Not bloated. Has "Smart extraction" feature so you save time not having to select whether or not to extract in a new folder. Supports reading archive files with different character encodings, such as ZIP files with Korean & Japanese characters. No subscription & free upgrades for perpetual license.

Its essentially 7-Zip with the main difference being an attempt to bring it in line with the modern Windows design, which still needs lots of UI work and refinement.

NanaZip is a fork of 7zip that is better integrated with modern version of Windows and supports newer features such as Windows 11 context menu & dark theme. It's not really that different than 7zip otherwise.

7zip developer is too stubborn to implement the new integrations, so they just created their own fork. Now this is the power of open source.

While Keka works with more file formats that OS X's native compressed file handler, that's about all that it does. Keka does not let you view a file without first decompressing it into another directory.

The Unarchiver requires the user to unzip the files into a folder. 7-zip allows the user to open a preview of the zip, pull out files and edit things, and simply close the program to rezip it.
