What is 1 Pixel Workout?

1 Pixel Workout is a browser extension that turns distraction into movement. When you try to visit sites like Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, or YouTube, the extension steps in and suggests a short desk workout instead. Complete the workout and continue browsing — or skip it after a cooldown period.

Unlike traditional site blockers that simply restrict access, 1 Pixel Workout replaces the blocked moment with something useful. Workouts are designed for desk environments and require no equipment — stretches, posture exercises, and quick movement routines that take under a minute.

Users can customize which sites trigger the workout prompt. The web app tracks completed workouts and provides basic statistics. A freemium model gives free users access to a limited workout set with daily limits, while Pro unlocks the full library and gamification features.

The extension is open-source and available on GitHub.
