TikTok introduces voice comments, polls, and new photo formats in comment system update

TikTok is expanding its comment system with four new formats: Voice Comments, Comment Polls, Photo Carousel Comments, and Live Photo Comments, with two available globally now and the other two rolling out worldwide over the next month.

Voice Comments let users aged 18+ or older record audio replies of up to 60 seconds directly from the comment box, with a global rollout planned over the next month. Comment Polls are available globally now, allowing creators to add polls with up to five options to their own videos, set a voting period, and track results directly in the comments.

Photo Carousel Comments let users add up to nine photos to a single comment and are also rolling out globally over the next month. Live Photo Comments are already available worldwide, allowing users to post Live Photos from their camera roll while preserving their brief motion.
