Google's Gemini assistant has finally arrived in Chrome for all Android users in the U.S.

Google has rolled out Gemini in Chrome for all Android users in the U.S., expanding the reach of its AI-powered browsing assistant. This release allows users to quickly summarize lengthy articles, receive answers to questions about any web page, and access Google applications such as Calendar and Keep directly from within the web browser.

In addition to these core features, users can generate and customize images directly in Chrome using the Nano Banana tool. For those subscribed to AI Pro or AI Ultra plans, Gemini in Chrome now offers agentic auto browse capabilities on Android devices. These allow for the automation of routine online tasks, like booking parking for events, updating recurring orders, or organizing travel arrangements, all initiated within the browser environment.

Addressing security, Google states that these features are built to be secure by design. Their AI models are trained to detect threats, including prompt injection, and the auto browse tool intentionally seeks user confirmation before finalizing sensitive operations. To access Gemini in Chrome, users can tap the Gemini icon or use the three-dot menu located in the top bar on their Android device.
