Vivaldi 8.1 launches with more customization features and more options for Android users

Vivaldi has released version 8.1 of its web browser for both Android and iOS users, following last week’s desktop update. This update introduces a range of enhancements, with Android users receiving several highly requested features.

Android users can now personalize their experience with a large selection of custom app icons, bringing this option up to parity with iOS where it was previously available. Alongside this, a new content setting allows Android users to select whether to use Vivaldi’s built-in PDF reader or open PDF files with another application on their device. The update also provides a convenient setting to restore the default search engines with a single button press. Users should note that this will remove any custom search engines they have added.

While Android receives these feature updates, the iOS version is also being refined. This release includes additional polish designed to ensure smoother browsing on iOS devices, continuing Vivaldi’s focus on user experience improvements and customization options across platforms.
