The new Apple Intelligence camera features in the Home app will require a 2TB iCloud+ plan

Apple Intelligence camera features in the Home app will require at least the 2TB iCloud+ plan. The requirement applies to new camera tools launching with iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 Golden Gate, and was detailed in the notes for the third macOS 27 beta after Apple previously said at WWDC that some Apple Intelligence features would be tied to paid iCloud plans.

With the update, Home will be able to generate written summaries for motion alerts from HomeKit Secure Video cameras, group footage from multiple cameras for a broader view of home activity, surface noteworthy recordings, and support natural language search for finding specific events or activities.

The 2TB iCloud+ plan costs $9.99 per month and supports unlimited HomeKit Secure Video cameras. Lower 50GB and 200GB plans still support one and five cameras respectively, but will not include these Apple Intelligence camera features. HomeKit Secure Video storage also remains excluded from the user’s iCloud+ storage limit.

Well, someone have to pay AI bills, and why this someone wouldn't be the user, even if doesn't want any of this.

The great days of cheap glorified automatisation tools are over. Now, it's token-based pricing or paying extra fees for any services (like Facebook+). And nowadays, "+" has became the seal of slop.
