Spotify is launching a new feature to create AI-generated podcasts through AI agents

Spotify is introducing a beta CLI tool that lets AI agents such as OpenClaw, Claude Code, and OpenAI’s Codex generate personal podcasts for individual users. The feature is aimed at people who already use these tools and want to create private audio content such as daily digests, class note summaries, or calendar briefings, then import it directly into their Spotify library. Pretty similar to something like NotebookLM, but within the streaming platform.

Spotify clarified that these AI generated podcasts "remain private", and the user who created them can access and play them, and the episodes are not made available to other listeners on the platform.

Users can try the tool through Spotify’s GitHub page, where setup instructions are available. After logging in, they can describe the podcast they want and ask their AI agent to save it to Spotify, where it will appear in their library for later playback.
