Gemini adds in-chat file creation, preview and direct editing

Gemini can now generate, preview and edit documents, PDFs, presentations, spreadsheets, code and other files directly in chat.

Users can open files in full screen for manual edits, highlight sections to request changes, and ask follow-up questions.

PDF preview and editing work on the web and mobile, while Google Docs, Sheets, slide decks, Markdown, TXT and code files are supported on the web.
