Substack introduces AI livestream highlights, clip sharing, and YouTube Shorts integration
Substack has introduced new livestreaming features focused on helping publishers promote their content through short, AI-generated highlight clips. These clips can be posted directly to Substack Notes, and creators receive real-time performance notifications to identify which moments resonate most with their audience.
Publishers who link their YouTube accounts can automatically share their top two performing clips as YouTube Shorts. Substack also generates promotional assets for scheduled livestreams, making it easier to share content across Substack Notes, YouTube, and other social platforms.
Publishers now have the option to invite guests to livestreams via email or SMS, even if those users are not registered with Substack. While the new livestreaming features are already available on Substack’s iOS app, Android support is set to follow next week. These updates expand on Substack’s live video capabilities introduced less than a year ago.
adding youtube shorts is a great way to ruin this community which is actually better than the alternatives
