Substack unveils creator match, audience-specific content, global reply rules, and more

Substack has rolled out several major updates aimed at streamlining creator collaboration and increasing audience engagement. The new creator match feature helps publishers discover and connect with similar writers and creators based on audience size and interests. This tool ranks possible collaborations and enables users to message prospective partners directly within the platform.

Building on audience engagement, publishers can now use audience segments and tags to target posts or messages to specific groups, such as regional readers or recent event attendees. In addition, content creators can tailor portions of posts by adding personalized content blocks that are shown to readers based on their subscription tier, free, paid, or founding, without the need to create separate posts for each group.

Following recent updates, Substack's reply rules are now available for non-English publications and moderate comments, note replies, and chats across languages. Publishers can further refine conversations by selecting who is allowed to comment on individual posts, granting increased control over discussions.

To assist podcasters, Substack has updated its transcript editing tools, making it easier to handle multi-speaker episodes. Rounding out these updates, Substack now offers integration with Typefully, allowing creators to schedule and publish content across multiple social platforms from one dashboard.
