Grammarly acquires Superhuman to add advanced AI email features & build multi-agent tools

Grammarly has acquired the AI-powered email client Superhuman to bolster its productivity suite with enhanced email-focused artificial intelligence capabilities. Following the deal, Superhuman’s CEO Rahul Vohra and other team members will join Grammarly, signaling close collaboration on the combined platform. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Superhuman recently launched AI tools for scheduling, smart replies, and email categorization. While emphasizing product fit, Grammarly’s CEO Shishir Malhotra described email as a core environment for orchestrating multiple artificial intelligence agents, noting its vital role for billions of users worldwide. Grammarly plans to build on this technology to develop AI agents that manage email workflows and support daily communications

This move follows Grammarly’s 2024 acquisition of productivity platform Coda and is part of a broader push to extend its presence in productivity and communication software.
