Tripsy adds Apple Intelligence, ChatGPT travel planning, and Shortcuts automation

Tripsy version 3.4 introduces support for Apple Intelligence, making it possible to access upcoming activities, flights, or navigate within the app using Siri voice commands. Building on this, the release expands Apple Shortcuts integration through new App Intents, allowing users to automate trip management tasks such as creating or editing trips, places, and documents directly from within the Shortcuts app.

These upgrades are complemented by a curated set of pre-built Shortcuts, while still letting users design their own automations for tailored workflows. Notably, automatic expense tracking via Apple Pay is now possible through these automations, capturing travel expenses in detail as payments are made. In addition, Tripsy also introduces ChatGPT integration that leverages App Intents, connecting Tripsy’s automation features to conversational AI workflows for automated travel planning.

Alongside these core updates, Tripsy improves its map view for wide-reaching trips by centering on the key travel locations instead of defaulting to a midpoint. The expense logging feature is now more flexible, supporting expenses without specified dates or those falling outside a trip's date range.
