Tripsy 3.10 brings AI-powered travel planning features: Smart Import & Smart Insights
Travel planning app Tripsy has unveiled version 3.10, introducing two new AI-powered features aimed at streamlining the process of gathering and organizing travel ideas. The update centers on Smart Import, which allows users to pull travel inspiration from disparate sources including Google Maps lists, Instagram posts, PDF documents, and booking emails into their Tripsy itineraries. According to the announcement, travelers often encounter recommendations scattered across multiple platforms, friend-shared location lists, event flyers, or social media posts, and this update seeks to consolidate that fragmented experience.
Alongside Smart Import, version 3.10 introduces Smart Insights, a document analysis feature that processes information locally on users' devices. This capability is contingent on having hardware that supports Apple Intelligence, indicating the update is optimized for recent iOS devices. The company notes that Smart Import utilizes an AI model hosted on their own servers, though full details on data handling are promised in an upcoming guide. Both new features are designated as Pro tier offerings and will be available on supported operating system versions starting today.
The release follows Tripsy's ongoing commitment to enhancing itinerary management tools, building upon previous updates like version 3.9 which added Smart Routes and saved addresses. With the competitive travel app landscape intensifying, Tripsy appears to be betting on AI-assisted organization as its differentiator.
