Perplexity launches Labs for automate research, analysis & document creation for Pro user

Perplexity has launched Perplexity Labs, a new feature available to Pro plan subscribers. Labs lets users generate a wide range of outputs, including spreadsheets, reports, dashboards, programming code, images, and other formats. The new Labs feature is located within the chat module, next to the Deep Research button, and is currently available within the main Perplexity app on web, iOS, and Android, with support for the Mac and Windows coming soon.

Expanding beyond AI search, Labs is designed for automating research, analysis, and document creation by combining tasks like web search, code execution, and visualization within a unified workflow. Users can undertake workflows that typically take ten minutes or more, taking advantage of features that support interactive web app development and automated coding for data structuring, formula application, and document generation.

Users can manage and download their output files, such as charts, images, and code from a dedicated interface tab. Labs is intended for both personal and work-related projects, supporting advanced file creation and the building of mini-apps.
