Google Docs adds beta support for encrypted Word .docx file editing
Google introduces the ability for users to view and edit client-side encrypted Microsoft Word (.docx) files in Google Docs. Changes are preserved in original Word format, though file size is limited to 20MB and only .docx types are supported. Launching in beta, the feature requires admin application and is available for Google Workspace Enterprise Plus, Education Standard and Plus, and Frontline Plus editions.
