Spark for Desktop Adds Slack Integration and Shared Inboxes for Microsoft 365
Spark Mail for Desktop has introduced Slack Integration, letting users share emails directly to Slack channels or individual direct messages. To set it up, users can connect their Slack workspace through the Spark Desktop settings under the Integrations section.
Once enabled, emails can be shared to Slack by pressing CMD + K on Mac or CTRL + K on Windows, followed by choosing 'Export to Slack.' While sharing, users may add extra context or next steps, which supports clearer team alignment. Spark generates a shareable link for each exported email, with configurable visibility, where access can be limited to the sender, anyone with the link, or specific team members. This allows teams to manage confidentiality with each shared message.
Alongside the Slack update, Spark’s Shared Inboxes now support Microsoft 365 and Outlook accounts in addition to Gmail and Google Workspace. Teams can collaborate on shared mailboxes without sharing passwords, discuss emails, co-edit drafts, and track updates across devices.
