Pixelmator Pro 3.5.8 Update Adds Text Editing in PDFs and Bento style templates
The latest update of Pixelmator Pro 3.5.8 now includes text editing in PDFs, allowing users to alter, format, and style text using Pixelmator Pro tools. It also offers extended support for Apple PDFs, enhancing integration with macOS iWork apps for easy export of work from Keynote, Pages, or Safari to PDF. The text editing feature in Pixelmator Pro ensures full text editability and retention of original fonts.
The update has also improved the import of PDFs created using Keynote. The software initially supported vector PDFs, allowing the import of image, shape, and text elements as separate layers. Now, this update enables the editing of imported text elements as regular text layers. Pixelmator Pro ensures the preservation of original fonts when editing PDFs, including the commonly used SF Pro font in the Apple ecosystem. The new text stroke styling options are nondestructive, allowing for easy rearrangement while keeping text fully editable.
In addition to this, the Style tool now offers customizable text stroke options. Users can add strokes in various positions, choose from different stroke ends and corners, and use dashed strokes. The update also comes with a new set of 12 Bento Grid templates for showcasing product updates or app features on web and social media platforms. This update is available for free for all existing users on the Mac App Store.
