Microsoft to upgrade Meeting Details feature in OneNote for Windows

Microsoft plans to enhance the Meeting Details feature in its Microsoft OneNote for Windows app for commercial users. The upgrade, available from April in Version 2404 (Build 17528.20000), will centralize access to all meeting-related content within the app, including shared resources and personal notes.

The updated Meeting Details feature will consolidate key meeting information such as date, description, and attendees, as well as content from Microsoft Teams intelligent meeting recap. This includes AI-generated notes, proposed tasks, and shared documents. The feature will also be compatible with Microsoft Loop collaboration services, promoting content sharing among meeting attendees.

Microsoft Outlook users will be able to add meeting content to OneNote directly via the Meeting Details feature. However, some features are not yet supported, including 3rd party email accounts and calendars, shared calendars, and certain 'Send to OneNote' functionalities from new Outlook. Gmail users can revert to the previous version of Meeting Details in OneNote if necessary.
